Glenn Ed Gerber, 87, was born January 11, 1921, in Driftwood, Oklahoma. He was the second son of five children born to Oscar Glen and Edna Ruth (Eaton). He passed away peacefully on the bright spring morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Provo, Utah, after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Kay Stice and her husband, Phillip Stice; five grandchildren, Breenan Phillip Stice, Nicholas Andrew Stice, Brittany Irene Frisbie, Benjamin Todd Stice, and Kendall Evan Stice; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Jane Evans; and brother, Bob.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Glen; mother, Edna Ruth; brothers, Bill and Ray; and his beloved wife, Kathleen.
Glenn led his life devoted to the service of others and freely gave of all he had to those in need. In 1974, he was called by our Heavenly Father to preach His gospel. He faithfully fulfilled this call throughout the remainder of his life. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. We will miss you Dad.
Funeral services will be held at the Cherokee Baptist Church on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Cooksey officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery under the direction of the Goodwin Funeral Home of Cherokee.
