— The funeral for Julie Ann Buckley, 57, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, at Alva First Baptist Church. Greg Hook will officiate. Burial will be in Short Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Alva. Family visitation will be 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born June 28, 1950, in Winslow, Ariz., to Harvey M. and Velma Cantrell Browning and died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Alva.
She lived most of her life in the Alva and Waynoka area. She graduated from Alva High School and received degrees in home economics and social work from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
She married Leroy Buckley Sept. 2, 1972, in Alva. She worked as a cashier for Wal-Mart for more than 20 years. She was a member of Alva First Baptist Church and Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Heather Golbek of Alva and Rebecca Buckley of Alva; one brother, Mike Browning of Alva; and two grandchildren.
