Laurie was born to David and Betty (Lollman) Landwehr on Nov. 28, 1973, in Enid and died Monday, April 28, 2008, in Enid.
Laurie grew up in Waukomis. She graduated from special education classes at Enid High School in 1994. Laurie was currently working at Evergreen Ministries, a workshop for the adult handicapped. Laurie loved her work and the friends she made there. After arriving at work every morning, she would go to the offices and tell everyone “Good Morning” and give hugs.
Laurie loved Jesus and anything associated with church. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She had another church family at Waukomis Christian Church, as she often went to services with her dad.
Laurie loved music, singing, dancing and teasing her dad. They like watching “M.A.S.H.” and she would frequently call her dad “Frank.” She always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed going on vacation trips to Colorado. Her favorite saying was “What are you doing?”
Laurie is survived by her parents, David and Betty; Uncle Bill and wife Roberta Lollman; Aunt Dorothy Roach; Aunt Louise and husband George Gragert; Aunt Patty and husband Steve Walker; and many cousins and friends.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Stain Glass Window Restoration Project of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Waukomis Christian Church.
