The funeral for Emily Alma Buller Koehn, 87, of Kingfisher formerly of Helena, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, at United Methodist Church, Helena. The Rev. Vera Walton will officiate. Burial will be in New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery, Meno. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Helena. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and before the service at the church.
She was born Nov. 18, 1920, in Waco, Texas, to David and Sara Kroeker Buller and died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at First Shamrock Care Center, Kingfisher.
She married Joseph Koehn in 1940. They moved to a farm south of Helena in 1941 and into Helena in 1967. They moved to Kingfisher around five years ago. He died in 2006.
She was a homemaker and cooked at Great Plains Care Center in Helena. She was a Gold Star Mother and a member of Cherokee Territorial Wagon Train Club. She attended Helena Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are five sons, Norman Koehn, Jimmie Koehn, Donald Koehn, Martin Koehn and Bruce Koehn; one daughter, Betty Decker; five sisters, Ida Rempel, Clarine Johnson, Frances Schultz, Ruby Regier and Josie Slagell; two brothers, Vernon and Eldo Buller; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by two sons, two sisters, one brother and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church, Helena Senior Citizens, or the charity of donor's choice.
