Kingfisher man killed in accident

A Kingfisher man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a three-car accident at Oklahoma 74 and Forrest Hills Road in Logan County.

Bob L. Brown, 76, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

According to the report, Melodee Brunette, 56, of Guthrie, was southbound on Oklahoma 74 and slowed to make a left turn. Brown’s vehicle struck Brunette’s vehicle from behind. His car then traveled into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by Stacy Wilhoite, 36, of Edmond, head on.

Wilhoite was pinned for about 20 minutes before being freed. She was admitted to Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City with internal trunk and leg injuries. She was listed in stable condition, according to the report.

Brunette was treated for back and neck injuries and released.

Oklahoma 74 was closed for about three and half hours.
