Grieving the death of a loved one is a difficult thing to do, but Hospice Circle of Love’s Bereavement Team can help.
The team is hosting a community grief group for four weeks in February. Meetings will take place 5 p.m. each Tuesday, Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26, at the Hospice Circle of Love office, 314 S. 3rd. Sessions will last about an hour.
The grief group is free and open to anyone 18 and over who is dealing with the death of a loved one. Each of the sessions will focus on different aspects of the grieving process. Participants look back, by celebrating memories, so they can move forward, by discovering meaning and purpose for the future, said bereavement coordinator Kevin Strope.
“One major benefit of our grief group, is finding out that your grieving is normal,” he said. “Another great benefit is the opportunity to connect with other people who are going through the same things.”
To sign up for the grief group, call Strope at (580) 234-2273.
Hospice Circle of Love is a not-for-profit organization that helps terminally ill patients and their families. Circle of Love will celebrate 30 years of service this year.
