1 killed in Blaine County collision

An Ada man was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Blaine County.

Ronnie Jack Parks, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 9 a.m. on Oklahoma 51, four miles east of Oklahoma 51A.

According to the report, Jacks was driving a 2007 Freightliner that collided with a 2007 Ford pickup driven by Benjamin Lee Kendall, 52, of Okeene. Kendall was no injured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the report. Parks was not wearing a seat belt, but Kendall was.

Authorities closed the highway for nearly nine hours — from 9:07 a.m. to 5:56 p.m. — while they dealt with the accident.
