ENID, Okla. —
An Enid woman was injured Thursday morning when her vehicle was struck, causing it to roll.
Carmen Cervantes, 33, was taken by LIFE EMS ambulance to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center following the 8:38 a.m. collision at Van Buren and Purdue, according to an Enid Police Depart-ment collision report.
Cervantes was southbound in her 2003 Ford Explorer when it was struck by a 1998 GMC Sierra driven by Dominic B. Smith, 18, who was crossing Van Buren at Purdue, according to the report.
Smith told police he was stopped at the stop sign and the sun was shining in his eyes, so he did not see Cervantes coming, began turning left and struck the Explorer.
Cervantes suffered non-incapacitating injuries to her head, body and arms, according to the report. Smith was cited for failure to devote attention to driving.
