Fire department to serve meal for Hillsdale, Carrier


The Hillsdale-Carrier Fire Department will host an Appreciation Dinner 12:30-2 p.m. today at the Hillsdale Fire Station. Community members are invited to eat free of charge.


Hillsdale Christian School held its annual science fair Nov. 16. Grades 1-6 exhibited science projects and were judged.

Students in grades 3-6 who will compete in the Association of Christian Schools International Science Fair in the spring are Emma Tennell, Nan Epps, Giovanni Bartolozzi, Maliah Arnold, Hayden Dupire, Hunter Hobbs, Callum Wright and Grace Voth.


Gretchen Streck’s Hillsdale Christian School second-grade class took its monthly mission trip to Hope Outreach Nov. 13. Students took items beginning with the letter “N” — noodles, napkins and newspapers — to donate. While there, the students sang for those at the day center and helped fold newspapers for the store.


Hillsdale Bible Church Ladies Missionary Ministry held its monthly meeting Nov. 13. Charlotte Bowen gave the devotion. Hostesses for lunch were Ginny Wilcox, Beth Bowen, and Sue Hoffsommer.


Thank you to all who donated to the Hillsdale Park Playground project. The system has been ordered and will arrive soon.


Hillsdale Booster Club’s annual community Christmas gathering will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Come join us for caroling, door prizes, and a visit from Santa. Linda Kodesh will have ornaments available for purchase of $10 each. Proceeds will be sent to Touch India for the building of a children’s home. Everyone is asked to bring a finger food.

    The victim told the reporting officer sometime between 7:30 p.m. July 16 and 11:30 a.m. July 17, someone took a vehicle from in front of their residence. The vehicle is a gray 1991 Dodge Dakota displaying 2014 Oklahoma tag 205-HUV.
