ENID, Okla. —
A man wanted in connection to a Thursday night shooting has turned himself in, police said.
Jeremy Jenkins, also known as Jeremy Smart, turned himself in and is in police custody, Sgt. Dustin Albright said.
Police were seeking Jenkins after he allegedly shot another in a scuffle late Thursday night.
Police say Jenkins confronted Jeffery Holt, 33, at 1510 E. Broadway “and a scuffle ensued.” Police say Jenkins shot Holt in the face and fled the scene.
Holt was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and later transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. His injuries, according to police, are not believed to be life-threatening.
The type of weapon used in the shooting is not known, according to police. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jenkins for a charge of shooting with intent to kill.
