ENID, Okla. —
A Henryetta man was killed near Kingfisher early Sunday when his truck overturned and he was ejected.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Gary Todd Sanford, 48, of Henryetta, was taken to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, where he was pronounced dead on arrival with head, internal trunk, arm and leg injuries.
The accident occurred at about 7 a.m. Sunday on Oklahoma 51, one-tenth of a mile east of Sheridan Road in Kingfisher County.
According to the report, a 2007 Peterbilt driven by Sanford was traveling east on Oklahoma 51.
The vehicle left the south side of the highway and overturned 11⁄2 times. Sanford was ejected 40 feet from the vehicle’s point of rest. Seat belts were not in use, according to the report.
