ENID, Okla. —
Eastbound traffic on U.S. 412 was down to a single lane Thursday afternoon following a rear-end collision between a semi and a car.
Traffic on U.S. 412 already was stopped for a wide load at 42nd when a car rear-ended a semi stopping for traffic in the 3800 block of East. U.S. 412.
Oscar L. Shaw, 68, was eastbound in a 2006 Chevy Malibu when he rear-ended a 2005 Peterbuilt truck that was slowing for traffic and was driven by Milford M. Johnson Jr., 60.
Johnson told police the Malibu had run into the back of his truck and over his dual wheels, causing him to drag the Malibu for about 100 feet.
Shaw was cited for failure to devote full time and attention to driving and was taken from the scene by Life EMS and taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for possible head and arm injuries. Johnson was not injured.
The outside lane of eastbound traffic was closed for about 30 to 45 minutes.
