ENID, Okla. —
Zale Corp. is preparing a standalone retail store on Garriott, a commercial Realtor confirmed Wednesday.
Located at 4402 W. Garriott, the building has had several former lives. It once was a Hardee’s, a China King buffet and the Italian Villa restaurant.
Commercial Realtor Cole Ream said this time it won’t be a restaurant.
“We can confirm that Zales is going to be moving into that space,” said Ream, a Realtor for Nicholas Commercial Real Estate.
He confirmed the information through a corporate officer, he said.
A developer purchased the building from the Hugh D. Crawford Trust and is renovating it, according to Ream and county assessor records.
“So far, they have gutted the entire building. I was in it about a week ago, and they have gutted it down to the outside walls and some supporting beams,” he said. “It’s going to be a really nice-looking project. We’ve seen some of their other work, and they can certainly take an old dog and really make it look nice. It’ll be a really nice addition to that street.”
A separate Zales currently is located inside nearby Oakwood Mall, which is on the south side of Garriott.
Zales is a Fortune 500 company that recently was purchased by Signet Jewelers Limited, which also owns other jewelry retailers Jared and Kay.
