New store catering to babies, moms is open downtown

ENID, Okla. — The owners of a newly opened store on the courthouse square believe they’ve found exactly the right niche for the community.

Baby Bumps Plus, located at 114 N. Independence on the west side of the courthouse Square, sells a selection of baby gifts, maternity and plus-sized clothing, decor items, personalized jewelry and gifts to pamper the baby or the mommy. Those are the items that can be hard to find in Enid, said owners Glenn and Pebbles Jones.

“We want to serve the people who live in Enid,” Glenn Jones said. “They don’t want to drive to Oklahoma City to shop.”

In choosing merchandise, they also had an eye toward creating an array of exclusive items that can’t be found in run-of-the-mill department stores, he said.

Pebbles Jones is known to customers for the personalized jewelry she has sold online for three years.

“Her jewelry business did so well, it sort of outgrew the home,” Glenn Jones said.

Now, her jewelry sales are moving to the retail store and a new website,

The website is up, but still under construction, Pebbles Jones said.

“We’ll still be adding products,” Pebbles Jones said.

The store also carries pregnancy journals, baby calendars, belly cast kits and decorating kits for the belly casts, baby handprint kits and nursery and home decor.

The store’s selection of room fragrance spray, soy candles, fragrance sticks, whipped body frosting, perfume oil, scented wax melts and aroma butter are custom-made by a Florida woman.

Glenn Jones formerly worked at ADM Milling as a grain elevator operator and before that, was an inspector for the state transportation department.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call (580) 540-9459 or go to or
