Small quake reported Saturday near Medford

ENID, Okla. — A 2.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded Saturday afternoon near Medford.

It followed two other small quakes recorded Friday, according to U.S. Geological Survey.

Saturday’s earthquake hit at 1:50 p.m. and was centered 13 miles south-southeast of Medford. It was measured at a depth of about 1.9 miles.

Friday’s quakes measured 2.8 at 7:38 p.m. and 2.7 at 10:52 p.m. Both were measured at a depth at about 3.1 miles.

The 2.8 quake Friday was centered 13 miles south-southeast of Medford, and the 2.7 was 16 miles south-southeast of Medford.
