Hospice Circle of Love book sale begins April 4

ENID, Okla. — Thousands of books in a number of categories will be up for sale at an upcoming fundraiser at Hospice Circle of Love.

The organization’s spring book sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 5 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 10. It will take place in the metal building just north of the Hospice Circle of Love office at 314 S. 3rd.

Any type of book readers are looking for likely can be found at the sale.

“We have a lot of mystery novels, fiction works, children’s books, westerns, cookbooks and science fiction,” said event organizer Julie Nelson. “In addition, there are many categories of non-fiction works available such as war books, biographies, self-help guides, non-fiction stories and more.”

Hardback books will be priced at $1 and paperbacks will be just 50 cents. In addition to the books, patrons will find puzzles, books on tape and movies for sale. They also will have a chance to purchase a Hospice Circle of Love cookbook, containing recipes submitted by hospice families, for $10.  Baked goods will be for sale by donation.  

Hospice Circle of Love is a not-for-profit organization that cares for terminally ill patients, helping them to live a higher quality of life at the end of life. A team of caregivers provides a variety of services in the patient’s home such as pain management, bed bathes and emotional support. Patients and families are never charged for services. Proceeds from the book sale will be used to care for patients who don’t have a Medicare or insurance benefit for hospice care.
