ENID, Okla. —
Enid and all of northwest Oklahoma is in a freeze watch Thursday night/Friday morning. Low temperature is expected to fall to 31 degrees in Enid.
National Weather Service is advising precautions for plants that include bringing them inside or covering them.
Tonight's low will dip into the upper-30s and not climb much higher during Thursday, according to National Weather Service meteorologists. The high temperature for Enid is forecast at 39 Thursday.
Showers and storms are possible before 7 p.m., and a 70 percent chance of rain is forecast overnight tonight, with gusty north winds.
Rain continues Thursday, with an 80 percent chance, falling to 40 percent as the evening turns into nightfall. Some snow could be mixed in the rain, but no accumulation is expected, according to NWS.
Friday temperatures will climb back into the upper-40s and lower-50s, with the lows dipping into the upper-30s after Thursday night's freeze chance. There is a 20 percent chance of rain Friday that will continue into Saturday.
