Local church briefs for 4-26-13

Susan Waters ordained into ministry

 Enid Maine Church of the Nazarene, 16th and Maine, has announced Senior Pastor Susan Waters was ordained into the Christian Ministry Monday at the District Assembly in Bethany. Associate Pastor J. Thomas Pullin also was recognized as an ordained elder, transferring into the Nazarene Church from the Wesleyan Church after completing his requirements with the Nazarene denomination.

Food and Fellowship fundraiser Sunday in Fairmont

The Ladies Aid of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont will hold its annual Food and Fellowship fundraiser at noon Sunday. Menu will include chicken noodle soup, sloppy joes, ham and beans and dessert. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Following the meal there will be a variety of entertainment in the education wing.

Funds raised will help pay for structural repairs by PowerLift Foundation Repair to the West end of the education wing. Thrivent Middle OK Chapter 30446, “Care Abounds in Communities,” is co-hosting the event and will contribute an additional $1 for every $3 raised.

Wildwood Chapel slates first service May 5

Great Salt Plains State Park Wildwood Chapel, River Road, will hold its first service of the year on May 5. The chapel will host guest speakers, music specials and refreshments each Sunday through Sept. 1. The meetings are non-denominational and will begin at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday.

    The victim told the reporting officer sometime between 7:30 p.m. July 16 and 11:30 a.m. July 17, someone took a vehicle from in front of their residence. The vehicle is a gray 1991 Dodge Dakota displaying 2014 Oklahoma tag 205-HUV.
