Legion post making Christmas baskets for veterans, families

ENID, Okla. — The American Legion Argonne Post 4, 121 W. Oak, is making Christmas baskets for veterans and families in need this for the holiday.

Jars have been placed in grocery stores, quick stops, restaurants, car dealerships, motorcycle and recreational dealerships, parts stores, video stores and others.

The American Legion is asking for the public’s help with donations, dropping money in one of those jars or mail or drop donations by 121 W. Oak, Enid, OK 73701.

Make checks payable to Christmas donation. Donations of hams, turkeys, boxed and canned goods also are welcome.

Businesses also are invited to give cash, checks or food donations and can be picked up by calling (580) 540-8920.

If your family and a family you know is in need of a Christmas basket, bring proof of income, will all adults listed, proof of residence with a utility bill, rent/house receipt, birth certificates for all minor children, and school I.D. of children.
