Miss NOC competition Tuesday

The annual dual Miss Northern Oklahoma College Enid-Miss Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa Scholarship Pageant is set for Tuesday.

Six Miss NOC Enid contestants and seven contenders for the Tonkawa title will parade on stage in the Kinzer Performing Arts Center on the NOC Tonkawa campus, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Miss Oklahoma 2013 Kelsey Griswold will entertain during the pageant.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for NOC students and employees with identification.

Miss NOC Enid contestants are Katie Bradley, Norman; Angela Heitfeld and Sydney Postier, Enid; Cortney Lofton, Oklahoma City; Lynzie Nuttle, Cushing; and Macy Perkins, Leedey.

Miss NOC Enid 2014 will receive a $1,000 scholarship expense award and various gifts, including a Miss America crown and pin and a 16-inch by 20-inch portrait. She will represent the campus in the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant in Tulsa next June.

Scholarship expense awards in the amounts of $600 and $400 will go to the first and second runners-up, respectively, and each non-finalist will receive a $250 tuition waiver participation award.

Edward Dixon, NOC fine arts faculty, will act as master of ceremonies for the pageant.
