Info needed in Walmart cellphone theft

ENID, Okla. — Enid Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman responsible for the theft of a cellphone in late July. Police took a report of theft that occurred the afternoon of July 27, 2013, at Walmart, 5505 W. Garriott. A woman told police about 3:30 p.m. that day she left her cellphone at the checkout counter, and upon calling the store, it was not found.

The phone was a black Samsung Galaxy S4. Video surveillance from Walmart shows a woman picking the phone up, placing it in her purse and leaving the store. Police have provided a photo of the woman believed to have taken the phone and a photo of her vehicle.

The value of the phone was estimated at $200.
