House fire causes $8,000 in damage

— Enid firefighters spent about two hours fighting a late-Sunday fire at 309 Palm.

Capt. Curtis Howard said firefighters were summoned to the address at 11:29 p.m. Sunday and found smoke coming from the rear of the house.

Howard said the fire caused about $7,000 property damage and $1,000 to damage of possessions in the $25,000 home.

Howard said no documents were attached to the report to show how the fire started.
