ENID, Okla. —
Covington-Douglas’ football homecoming will be tonight.
Making up the court are seniors Trae Simpson, Gage Smith, Quenten Thayer, Kayla Anglemyer, Baylie Kaiser and Kandis Rupp; juniors Tabor Cook and Calli Kaiser; sophomores Dylan Daugherty and Karlyn Reed; and freshmen Juan Rojo and Hailey Kaiser.
Coronation will be at 6:15 p.m. Kickoff against Waukomis will be 7:30 p.m.
The homecoming parade will be 2:30 today, starting in downtown and ending at the football stadium. A pep rally will follow.
The homcoming dance in the school cafeteria will follow the game. The dance is sponsored by student council and costs $4. It will end at midnight. It is open to seventh- through 12th-graders.
The high school cross country teams will be in the regional meet Saturday at Chisholm.
The townwide yard sale is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
It is sponsored by Covington Lions Club.
The Lions Club will have its yard sale at the town park, including a bake sale.
Those bringing old glasses and hearing aids will get $1 off purchases.
The yearly townwide fall cleanup day will be Tuesday.
Tri-County Senior Citizens will have a chicken-and-noodle dinner and bake sale fundraiser 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21.
The meal is by donation. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will match some of the proceeds.
The Scary Scott 5K run/walk will be Oct. 27 at Covington.

Covington Historical Society met Oct. 2 at the Senior Center. The group discussed making up a constitution.
The group will be in charge of the Christmas bazaar in November at the center. Attending were Dorothy Murphy, Zoe and Herbert Bolz, Viva Nida, Melvin Carter, Arba Pope and Anna Whitman.
