National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 369 will host 93-year-old Doris “Coke” Meyer, grand-niece to the famous Will Rogers, at a lecture and luncheon 11:30 a.m. March 11 in the conference room by the pool at the Ramada Inn on West Garriott. A book signing will follow 2-4 p.m. at Hastings.
Meyer, of Bartlesville, will speak on what it was like growing up with her favorite uncle, Will Rogers. She is on the board of the Will Rogers Museum in Bartlesville.
The lecture is free and open to the public, and will begin at 12:15 p.m. Reservations for lunch are required and can be made by contacting Donna at 234-4842 or Diane at 237-3944. Deadline is Thursday.
