Leonardo’s is hosting Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day events Saturday

ENID, Okla. — Entertainment and fun are on tap at the second annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse.

The family-friendly event is jointly sponsored by Garfield County Systems of Care, Enid Public Schools and Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. There will be activities inside and outside the museum.

Enid Fire Department is bringing a fire truck for children to see, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office will have the DARE car, and Boy Scouts will have a display on summer activities.

The Imagination Playground from Sooner Success will be present for kids to explore and play on, constructed as the kids imagine the design.

A bouncing house will be set up for the children. All of Leonardo’s and Adventure Quest will be available for the children as well. Several agencies and organizations will have information booths.

These include Mollie Babb counseling, Meadowlake, Oklahoma Health Authority, Enid Counseling and Diagnostic Center, Choices Institute, ATS Counseling and Focus Institute, 4RKids, Solutions for Life, Sooner Success, Pumpkin Patch Kids, Oklahoma Family Network and Oakwood Bowl.

Door prizes will include an oil change coupon from Jackson’s of Enid, Wings to Go, Staples, free bowling coupons, Enid Transit coupons, a CD from Ruth’s Christian Book Store, pizza coupons from CiCi’s Pizza, coupons from Natural Nails, candy from Candyopolis, Great American Cookies, Enid Welcome Center, Garfield County Emergency Management, Chick-fil-A, Golden Chick, Motophoto, Systems of Care, The Garden House and Tiger Pawn.

Admission is free for the first 240 people. Hot dogs and drinks will be available while supplies last.�
