Severe weather moving into NW Oklahoma

ENID, Okla. — Severe weather is moving into parts of northwest Oklahoma.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for, Blaine, Kingfisher and Woodward counties.

The warning for southeastern Blaine County and southwestern Kingfisher County is in effect until 5:15 p.m. According to National Weather Service, a severe thunderstorm is located near Calumet, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Dangers include hail up to golf ball size and winds in excess of 60 mph. Other towns in the path include Kingfisher, Okarche and Loyal.

The warning for Woodward County is in effect until 5 p.m.

NWS shows a severe thunderstorm on the east side of Woodward, and another north of Vici, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Hazards include half-dollar size hail and winds in excess of 60 mph. Other communities in the path include Woodward, Mooreland, Sharon, Mutual and Quinlan.
