Public Library of Enid and Garfield County and NODA Area Agency on Aging will host a supper meeting 4 p.m. April 5 concerning legal matters for caregivers. The meeting will be at the library, 120 W. Maine.
“When a family member has been diagnosed with a disabling health condition, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by many legal and financial questions that can arise as a result of the diagnosis,” said Judy Rupp, care coordinator for NODA Area Agency on Aging. “It is important to discuss legal matters while the person still has the legal capacity to make his or her own decisions.
Casey Frank-Felix, assistant vice president trust officer with Central National Bank, will provide information about basic legal documents, including durable power of attorney, advance health care directive, DNR, guardianship and trusts.
Call Rupp 237-2236 or (800) 211-2116 to reserve a meal. The program is free and open to the public.
