Leonardo's volunteer day this Saturday

ENID, Okla. — Leonardo’s Children’s Museum is looking for volunteers.

Work will be done 7-11 a.m. Saturday on the outdoor playground Adventure Quest. The largest project will be replacing the special mulch, FIBAR, around the swings and slides at Adventure Quest.

Other projects include gardening (weeding and placing mulch), trimming shrubs and general cleaning. Volunteers are asked to bring their own rakes, shovels and work gloves. Water will be provided, but those volunteering can bring their own.  Both skilled and unskilled volunteers are welcome, however they must be at least 13 years old.

Leonardo’s quarterly volunteer day will be directed by board member Don Rose, operations manager Josh Good and volunteer coordinator Tracy Bittle.

The park will reopen to the public at 11 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. for Twilight Time, weather permitting.

“Adventure Quest, celebrating its 18th year this summer, is still the world’s largest outdoor community built outdoor playground,” said Julie Baird, executive director. “Our goal is to keep it clean, fun and safe for many more years and many future guests.”

For information about volunteering at Leonardo’s, contact Bittle at tbittle@leonardos.org or call Leonardo’s at (580) 233-2787.
