ENID, Okla. —
Garfield County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating a man who fled from drug court Thursday afternoon.
Sheriff Jerry Niles said Nickolas Todd Johnson, 24, ran from the federal courtroom on the second floor of the U.S. Post Office building about 1 p.m. when the judge announced he would be sanctioned for violations.
“He was being sanctioned for 15 days for a violation of drug court,” Niles said. “Now, we’re anticipating adding a new charge of escape from arrest.”
Niles said a deputy in the courtroom had three others at the drug court in custody and could not leave those inmates in pursuit of Johnson.
Johnson is described as a white male, 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 168 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact Garfield County Sheriff’s Office at (580) 237-0244 or Garfield County Crime Stoppers at (580) 233-6233.
