ENID, Okla. —
A Drummond man pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony charge of aggravated possession of child pornography.
Robert Shane Seibert entered a blind plea of guilty to the charge before District Judge Paul Woodward, meaning he has no agreement with prosecutors, and the judge will determine his sentence.
Seibert, 46, told Woodward he understood what his entering the plea meant and has discussed it with his attorney.
The charge is punishable by up to life in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
The charge accuses Seibert of being in possession of 100 or more separate materials depicting child pornography between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2 of 2012.
Investigators were led to Seibert’s home when the IP address of a computer sharing known files of child pornography was traced to a residence in Drummond.
Members of the Enid Police Department and Garfield County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Seibert home and seized several computers and media storage devices.
EPD detectives spoke with Seibert at his place of employment and he admitted to downloading files of child pornography at his home.
Woodward ordered a presentencing investigation for Seibert and set a Sept. 12 sentencing date for Seibert.
