Motorcyclist critical after crash

ENID, Okla. — A 52-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday night after colliding with a car while riding a motorcycle.

Michael Meeks was eastbound on Randolph when another driver turned in front of him, according to an Enid Police Department report.

The other driver was identified as 81-year-old Marilyn Melka. She was not injured.

According to the report, Melka was driving a 2002 Buick Century eastbound on Randolph and was attempting to turn north on Jefferson, when the two collided.

Police cleared the intersection at 6:03 p.m. Tuesday.

Meeks, who was driving a 2012 Honda motorcycle, was transported by Life EMS to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. His condition, as of press time, was listed as critical.

Police said he was wearing a helmet.

There were no citations issued at the scene of the crash, the investigating officer said.
