ENID, Okla. — Enid Fire Department officials reported the smell of smoke in parts of Enid is coming from a controlled burn.
The fire is in the area of Jumbo Foods at Willow and Cleveland, and the smoke is being carried into the downtown area by northerly winds.
Controlled burns are allowed by permission through the city of Enid.
Northwest Oklahoma currently is in a high risk for wildfires, according to the National Weather Service.
