Storm system to bring snow to northwest Oklahoma

ENID, Okla. — Snow is in back in the forecast for Enid.

According to National Weather Service, the city may receive 2-4 inches of snow on Tuesday.

Additionally, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for counties west of Enid. Counties in the watch include Harper, Woods, Alfalfa, Ellis, Woodward, Major, Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Blaine and Beckham, and includes the cities of Buffalo, Alva, Cherokee, Arnett, Woodward, Fairview, Cheyenne, Taloga, Weatherford, Clinton, Watonga, Elk City and Sayre.

Those areas may receive 3-5 inches of snow.

According to a message from National Weather Service posted at 2:57 p.m. Sunday, snow is expected to develop in western Oklahoma late tonight and spread northeastward Tuesday. Accumulations may result in slick and hazardous roadways late tonight through Tuesday.
