ENID, Okla. —
About 1,500 customers were without electricity for about an hour Sunday when a squirrel got into the substation and caused the outage.
John Little, OG&E Electric Services spokesman, said the outage started at about 1 p.m., and power was restored at about 2 p.m.
The outage mostly affected the center part of town. In the downtown area, the outage was along Broadway from Washington to Grand. The electric load was transferred to another circuit while crews cleaned up after the squirrel.
