More than 1,700 people were without power in Enid early Tuesday, while another 340 were without power in Hennessey.
John Little, regional manager for OG&E, said the outage lasted about two hours in Enid. A crossarm along a major circuit broke about 7 a.m. and was out about two hours.
“After the first hour, we got about 700 people on. The rest came during the rest of the two hours,” Little said.
In Hennessey, a broken pole resulted in a 45-minute outage that affected about 340 people, Little said.
