Triangle Cooperative honors Keith Kisling

ENID, Okla. — Triangle Cooperative Service Co. presented Keith Kisling with its Lifetime Achievement Award during its 98th annual meeting Thursday.

Kisling was honored for his dedication to the cooperative system. He has been a member of the cooperative system for more than 50 years and served on Burlington Co-operative Association board of directors for 15 years. Kisling also has been a longtime advocate for Oklahoma and American wheat production and the export of it to other countries.

Kisling received a plaque and gift certificate. His name has been added to the plaque in Triangle’s home office in Enid.

The meeting was held in Convention Hall.

The day started with an agribusiness industry trade show featuring 35 vendors, followed by a luncheon sponsored by Triangle Insurance Company.

Agriculture advocate Bruce Vincent encouraged the crowd to be proactive in defending agriculture. He urged those in agriculture to remind America who it is that feeds the world and who cares about the environment.

John Berg, Triangle’s president and CEO,  along with members of the company’s board of directors, reported to attending members 2013 was another record earnings year.

Oklahoma native and retired Army Lt. Col. Steven Russell spoke to the audience about his account of his unit, Task Force 1-22 Infantry, and its hunt and capture of Saddam Hussein.

Russell served 21 years as an Army infantry officer and is a veteran of Kosovo, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. Since his retirement in 2006, he has become a voice for veterans. He was elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 2008 and served as chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee from 2010-2012. Russell is running for U.S. Congress in the 5th Congressional District.

Triangle Cooperative Service Co. was founded in 1916 by 20 Oklahoma cooperative grain elevators and has grown to offer regional insurance and value-added services to more than 380 members in a nine-state area. Several subsidiaries have been formed under Triangle Cooperative Service Co., including Triangle Insurance Co., TCSC Insurance Agency and ProValue, LLC.
