ENID, Okla. —
The town of Hennessey recently contracted with an engineer to install sewer facilities north of Oklahoma 51.
Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman said town officials are doing the project so development will be possible in the area.
A price tag for the project is not yet known, Tillman said.
“Initially, we’ve just kind of been in the ballpark of looking at probably around $350,000 to $500,000,” she said.
The area could be used for both commercial and residential development, Tillman said.
The contract with the engineer is costing $46,000 and is being funded through Hennessey Utilities Authority funds.
“That’s to get us completely through the construction phase. He’ll draw up the plans, put us to bid and get us through construction,” Tillman said.
