ENID, Okla. — Meno Fire and Rescue pancake

supper is slated for Saturday

Meno Fire and Rescue and Ringwood Masonic Lodge will hold their 35th pancake and sausage supper Saturday.

The event will be 5-7 p.m. in the Meno gym. Cost is by donation.

Pancakes, freshly ground sausage and homemade syrups — blueberry, maple and Dutch honey — will be available.

Oklahoma Blood Institute will have its bloodmobile there 3:30-5 p.m.

Women’s self-defense class set

for Tuesday at Oakwood Mall

Humanitarian School of Martial Arts will have a women’s self-defense class 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the studio at Oakwood Mall.

The studio is located off the food court next to Steel Lily.

Registration is $35 and will include a free keychain pepper spray for all women who pre-register.

The class will be taught by master Dustin Musick, 5th Dahn black belt and founder of HSMA.

Other high-ranking students and black belts will help with instruction. Walk-ins are welcome.

Don Blanding Poetry Society

meets Sunday at St. Matthew’s

Don Blanding Poetry Society will meet at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.

The address is 518 W. Randolph. Park in the back and come in that entrance.  

The mission of Don Blanding Poetry Society is to write, read and appreciate poetry, and to help each other write better. There are no dues, no assignments and no refreshments. Bring original poetry to read, or bring a work from a favorite poet.

Chisholm Trail ABATE

annual Poker Run is April 27

Chisholm Trail 412 ABATE’s fifth annual Tornado Run poker run will be April 27.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Lucky’s Pub, 1314 S. Van Buren. First bike out will be 10 a.m., with last bike out at 11 a.m.

The run will end at Scooters with a donation only fish fry at 4 p.m., followed by bike and people games. The games will be outside and are open to the family.

Early registration through April 26 will get participants two hands for $20. A pre-registration party will be 8 p.m. April 26 at Lucky’s Pub. T-shirts will be available for purchase.

Organizers said the annual fundraiser helps protect motorcyclists’ rights and safety. For information, call Anita McMullen (580) 541-3149 or Alan Williams at (580) 484-0202.
