C-D teams heading to PC-H

On Monday, the Lady Cats slow pitch softball team will travel to Pond Creek-Hunter for a game starting at 4 p.m. The Wildcat baseball team also will travel to Pond Creek-Hunter for a 4:30 p.m. game.


The Covington-Douglas School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday.


The softball team will travel to OBA Tuesday, with the game starting at 4 p.m.

The Covington-Douglas Junior High baseball team will play at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pioneer.

The junior high track team will travel to Hominy Tuesday for a track meet.

On Thursday, the high school softball team will travel to Okeene.The game will start at 4 p.m. The high school baseball team will play in the Dover Baseball Festival March 7-9.

The junior high baseball team will play in the Medford Junior High Baseball Tournament March 7-9.

On Friday, the softball team will host Chisholm and Pioneer, with games starting at 4 p.m.


In January, Gavyn Reim, a sophomore at Covington-Douglas, along with outstanding students from across the United States and around the world, took part in the inauguration of the president of the United States. The students had the opportunity to interact with historians, political experts and leading decision-makers to discuss campaign strategy and presidential politics. The scholars also attended an exclusive Gala Inaugural Celebration just for them.


No school was held Feb. 25-27 at Covington-Douglas because of weather-related issues and no electricity. Classes resumed Feb. 28.


Covington-Douglas FFA member Marissa Jordan recently placed 6th with her Berkshire show hog Everett and 4th with her Chester show hog Queso at the National Western Livestock Show in Denver.楮
