ENID, OK —
There is a 50 percent chance of rain today and high winds are expected Sunday.
Enid and Garfield County Certified Emergency Management Director Mike Honigsberg said today’s forecast is for a clear morning then mostly cloudy with highs around 65 later in the day.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Wind are expected to gust before sunrise across the northwest half of the state and into central Oklahoma by late morning. Winds will be from the northwest or north at 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph.
The service warns driving on east/west roads will require extra attention. It cautions those who must travel, work or play outside Sunday.
