Two questions on Dacoma ballot

ENID, Okla. — The town of Dacoma will have two questions on the July 9 ballot to decide whether to renew the OG&E Electric Services franchise for the town.

Williadean Linder, of the Woods County Election Board, said there will be two propositions on the ballot.

Dacoma Trustee Larry Leslie said the propositions will ask Dacoma voters whether they want to renew the OG&E franchise for 25 years, and the second will determine how much the company will pay the city over the term of the contract at a rate of $10,500 per year.

That is the same amount OG&E has been paying.

Leslie said nobody has reported any problems with the company, and he sees no problem with the election.
