Police seek info on shooting

ENID, Okla. — Police are asking anyone with information about a drive-by shooting Tuesday afternoon to contact them.

Lt. Eric Holtzclaw said Enid Police Department received a report of a shooting in the 400 block of North 8th. The caller said five to eight shots had been fired.

When officers arrived, witnesses said two suspects in an older model Chevrolet pickup approached another man who was walking north on 7th, Holtzclaw said. At some point later, shots were fired from the truck at the man, who fled north through the alley of 2nd Pine.

Holtzclaw said officers later found the pickup believed to have been used in the shooting.

Police are seeking information that could identify the driver of the pickup. Police also are seeking help identifying the man who was shot at.

“The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers,” Holtzclaw said.

Anyone having information that will lead to the arrest or prosecution of any crime is urged to call Garfield County Crime Stoppers at (580) 233-6233.
