Atoka woman is injured in Kingfisher County as she stands near motorcycle struck by pickup

ENID, Okla. — An Atoka woman is in stable condition after the motorcycle she was standing next to was struck by a pickup.

Jeannie Lee Griffith, 62, of Atoka, sustained arm, leg, internal trunk, and head injuries, and was taken by Kingfisher EMS to the Kingfisher airport, where she was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Airport Road about two miles west of U.S. 81 in Kingfisher County.

According to the report, a 2012 Dodge pickup driven by Robert Lyle Lee, 61, of Kingfisher, was eastbound on Airport Road, while a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle operated by John Henry Griffith, 66, of Atoka, was stopped on the edge of the road.

Jeannie Griffith was standing next to the motorcycle when it was struck by the pickup.

John Griffith sustained arm, leg and internal trunk injuries and was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Kingfisher Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Lee was not injured.
