ENID, Okla. —
Enid City Commission will meet a day earlier than usual next week.
City spokesman Steve Kime said commissioners will meet Monday rather than the following Tuesday.
“Typically these meetings are on the first and third Tuesday of every month,” Kime said, “but due to new commissioners coming on board, we’re going to move it up a day.”
As usual, the commissioners will meet for a study session that begins at 5 p.m. However, the meeting will take place at Enid Fire Department.
“It’s kind of a tradition, a fish fry to welcome the new commissioners on board and kind of say farewell to the other commissioners,” Kime said.
Two new commissioners — Ward 3’s Ben Ezzell and Ward 4’s Rodney Timm — will be sworn in during the commission meeting. That meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be in the city administration building, 401 W. Garriott.
An agenda has not been released.
