— Enid’s Bobby Bennett and the Borrowed Bandits Band will perform again at Heer’s Country in Longdale for the Sept. 13 event.

Buch Goucher and Jarod Cross also will be back.

The event will be 6-11 p.m. Sept. 13 at Longdale Community Gym.

“Bennett will often feature different top country music artists in his band each time he is headlined at Heer’s Country,” said Sharon Heer the event’s founder.

Additions this month include:

• Steven Hardwood, of Enid, who plays piano and keyboard. He has played with Harvey and the Wallbangers and now plays with Crooked Canyon Band and E-Town Rhythm Kings.

• Melvin Kruse, of Enid, who plays guitar. He played with his dad, Dale Kruse and Crusers; Senior Moments Band; Melvin Kruse and the Penetrators Band; Merle Harmon’s Thunder & Lightning Band; and Crooked Canyon Band.

He plays with the Wranglers on Wednesday nights at the Enid American Legion.

• David Hempfling, of Enid, who plays drums. He played with Jim Edgar and the Roadrunners for 11 years.

Also back with the band are Ronnie Golliver, steel guitar, and Weldon “Dub” Schieffer.

“Also, Bobby has added a surprise guest, who we are all anxious to hear,” Heer said.
