Man, woman face felony drug trafficking, firearms charges

ENID, Okla. — An Enid man and woman are facing multiple felonies following their arraignment Thursday on drug trafficking and firearms charges.

Charles James Jordan III, 31, and Aubrey Jean Williams, 33, appeared in Garfield County District court via video from jail for arraignment Thursday morning.

Jordan is facing felony charges of trafficking in illegal drugs (meth) and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He also was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana.

Because of four prior felony convictions, Jordan faces 12 years to life in prison on the trafficking charge and six years to life on the firearm charge.

Williams faces four years to life in prison and a fine of $25,000 to $200,000 on her trafficking charge, and two to 10 years on her firearm charge.

Jordan appeared before Special District Judge Brian Lovell, who continued bond at $50,000, and ordered Jordan to return to court Dec. 23 for a bond appearance.

Williams appeared last week before Lovell, who set bond in the amount of $40,000, and ordered her to return to court Dec. 9 for a bond appearance.

Jordan and Williams were arrested Nov. 5 by Enid Police Department detectives at the Holiday Motel, 2712 Rock Island.

Detectives had gone to the motel to arrest the two on outstanding warrants, and when they approached their room could see bags of a crystalline substance and a set of digital scales inside the room, according to the affidavit filed in the case.

Detective Shawn Ramsey also saw a holstered black pistol lying on a bed in the room, and a glass pipe on top of a dresser in the room.

A search warrant was obtained for the room and narcotics detectives found and seized a magazine-loaded Walther P22 .22-caliber pistol, marijuana and six plastic bag containing a crystalline substance.

The larger of two clear plastic bags was weighed and weighed 27 grams. The substance was field tested and indicated positive for methamphetamine.
