Absentee ballot voting for Chisholm bond issue today, Monday

Enid News and Eagle

ENID, Okla. — Chisholm Public Schools patrons who want to vote by absentee ballot in Tuesday’s bond issue election can do so today and Monday.

Garfield County Election Board will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, and a two-member, bipartisan absentee voting board will be on duty to assist voters.

“In-person absentee voters fill out an application form when they get to the office. They are not required to give a reason for voting absentee,” said Garfield County Election Board Secretary Roy Schneider. “They are required to swear that they have not voted a regular mail absentee ballot and that they will not vote at their polling places on election day.”

Garfield County Election Board is located at 903 Failing. The number is 237-6016.

Chisholm patrons will decide on a $17.9 million bond issue to build a new elementary school.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
