P.Ml. Patches & Pieces Quilter’s Guild to meet

P.M. Patches and Pieces Quilter’s Guild will meet from 6-9 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 200 S. 6th, Ponca City.

Amanda Doran, representative from the Domestic Shelter, will be at the October meeting. The guild will donate to the shelter four twin-size quilts and one crib quilt made from blues and creams. These quilts will go in the blue room at the shelter. The ladies from the guild have worked on these quilts and have donated their combined time, fabrics and efforts to complete. Each quilt has a label made and donated by Jeanie Meeks, guild member. Each quilt has been quilted by Cheryl Tattershall.

The holidays are near, including the fall season, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Come Monday for sewing and fellowship time. This is a good opportunity to bring that UFO that has been lurking around or those holiday projects to work on.

All are welcome to visit and bring a friend.

The group shares and learns quilting techniques.

Upcoming dates are fourth Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, (snow and icy weather cancel, or if no school). There will be no November or December meetings.

For information, contact Colleen (580) 762-0761.
