ENID, Okla. — Linda Kodesh’s Hillsdale Christian School (HCS) fifth-grade class presented a chapel program Oct. 9.

The theme for the four skits performed was taken from Matthew 5:4: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

The boys and girls each did a separate puppet show, all the students reenacted a Bible story about King David, and they all performed a skit about a school situation.

Students in the class are Joseph Alcuitas, Maliah Arnold, Everett Bonine, Mollie Burchel, Matt Carpenter, Jessica Corey, Rhiannan Epps, Weston Light, John Rose, Garrett Slaving, Grace Tam and Noah Voth. Weston closed the program with prayer.

Ashley Williams’ and Gretchen Streck’s HCS first- and second-grade classes took a field trip to the Sedgewick County Zoo in Wichita, Kan., Oct. 18.

Donna Thomason took her HCS pre-K class to visit the Pumpkin Patch in Enid Oct. 15.

The students painted a pumpkin, heard a story and had their pictures taken in the pumpkin patch.

On Oct. 18, they joined Amy Voth’s HCS kindergarten class for a field trip to Daze in a Maze.
