ENID, Okla. — Enid firefighters were summoned to 723 W. Pine late Monday morning for a fire at a vacant two-bedroom house.

Deputy Chief Michael Lawver said firefighters found the back porch in flames when they arrived on the scene at about 10:40 a.m.

Firefighters made short work of putting out the fire, then stayed on the scene while fire marshals inspected the damage, Lawver said.

“The back porch was pretty much a total loss,” Lawver said. “It breached the roof.”

Lawver said the rest of the house had smoke damage from the fire.

Nobody was in the house when the fire started, Lawver said.
